Our 1st Ranch Recipe everyone loves... Chicken Fried Steak

Chicken Fried SteakĀ 

Total Time: 25 minutesĀ 
-Prep-
Batter:
  • 1 - 4oz. Bag of Seasoned Croutons *crumbled*Ā  (we like garlic parmesean seasoned)
  • 1 cup - organic whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp - granulated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. - granulated onionĀ 
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Egg Beat:

  • 1 - Farm fresh egg
  • 1/4 cup - Raw fresh milk

Meat:

  • 4 - 8 oz. Triangle S cubed steaks
  • 1 - stick of salted butter cubed
  • 1 - heaping spoonful of bacon grease (optional)

-Instructions-

  1. On medium heat, heat butter & bacon grease in a cast iron skilletĀ 
  2. In a small bowl, beat egg & milk then set aside
  3. In a separate large freezer ziploc bag; mix in crouton crumbles, flour, garlic, onion, salt & pepper. Shake.Ā 
  4. Pour the dry batter on a plate
  5. Dip the steak, one at a time, into the egg dip
  6. Take the egg dipped steak and press into the dry batter
  7. Press and flip steak into batter numerous times until steak is completely covered
  8. Once skillet is heated up, butter and bacon grease is melted, on medium heat please battered steak into skillet
  9. Fry steaks for 3 minutes or until browned. Flip steaks over and cook for remaining 3 minutes until ready
  10. Serve hot with homemade mashed potatoes and vegetables and enjoy!
